Nicola Radano’s exquisite ties first attracted my gaze via instagram – the reach out tool so beloved of us sartorially inclined gents. Nicola, who blogs about the art of neapolitan tailoring on his site ‘Me, MySelf and I‘, was having a trunk show in London recently, so the two of us got to meet in person.

Aged just 22 with his own tie company Spacca Neapolis, and just shy of 29k instagram followers, there is much to admire – these tender-aged Millennials certainly put us Generation X-ers to shame when it comes to entrepreneurial start-ups. Dressed in bespoke Sartoria Ciardi Napoli blazer; open-necked brown and white pinstripe Vanacore Napoli beneath a burgundy Della Ciana cashmere sweater, it’s clear Radano is proudly partisan of his motherland’s cloth – with the exception of his turned-up dark Levi’s (with snazzy side-zipped pockets) and oxblood Lakenheath derbies from Devon-based Herring Shoes.
