Following significant investment by LVMH, one of Australia’s most iconic brands, R.M.Williams has launched a new UK-focus, unveiling a new installation in leading London department store, Liberty.

Adjacent to Liberty’s Men’s Designer Room, the installation is situated at the heart of the men’s footwear department, and signals the start of a wave of UK activity. Initiatives scheduled in 2016 include a string of London store launches, a contemporary new marketing campaign and a calendar of on- and off-line activities.

Built to withstand arduous rides across the expansive Australian outback, R.M.Williams boots are the stuff of Australian legend. Each pair of boots is constructed meticulously by hand using the same methods since 1932. Little wonder then that R.M.Williams’ footwear has earned the colloquial accolade of being ‘the toughest boots you’ll find.’

Sartorialee comments:

“RM Williams is a brand I’ve long had an affinity with – and advocate their appeal and longevity to everyone. We live in a world of bold claims that often under deliver  but these boots are the antithesis to that notion. In my mind nothing can touch them for durability and effortless, unshowy weekend style.”

Crafted in the brand’s South Australian workshop using a single piece of leather with a stitched heel seam and distinctive pull tags, each pair features a Goodyear-welted construction to ensure they effortlessly survive the rigours of the Australian outback.

Key styles featured in the Liberty installation include the Signature Craftsman in chestnut and black (see main image and below), the Craftsman in chestnut and burnished leather, and the suede Craftsman in navy and black.

Prices range from £300 to £700.
