Kettering-based shoemaker Loake have announced a collaboration with luxury menswear brand Duchamp London, Arsenal football club’s official formalwear partner.

They will supply shoes to Duchamp as part of the official formalwear package being worn by the first team squad and manager Arsène Wenger on selected official club appearances, including all home games in the Barclay’s Premier League and UEFA Champions League.

Duchamp opted for Loake’s classic Churchill toe-cap Oxford (pictured below) shoe in black calf leather, from its 1880 range. It boast a Goodyear Welted leather sole and is fully leather lined for ultimate comfort.

“Sartorialee applauds Arsenal’s off-field footwear of choice – studs aside it’s  not dissimilar in style to a classic football boot of yesteryear.”

Loake-Churchill-Black-1024x684The design was chosen by Duchamp to complement a predominantly British-themed ensemble comprising a Duchamp London signature one-button single-breasted peak lapel suit, a white cotton twill shirt, fine merino sweater and English woven silk tie.

Gunners fans wishing to follow in their heroes footsteps (literally) can purchase the very same pair for £215, here. The Churchill utilises the Swing last in a G fitting for a wider fit, so some Loake wearers may find this shoe a little large as a result. Loake recommend ordering a half size smaller than usual.
